Michael Loates

Michael is a Biomedical Science student at Brunel University of London. In September 2025, Michael commenced his role as a Research Assistant within CoDE Lab for his Placement Year, developing ways to communicate science expanding the outreach of the lab, as well as expanding his skills in the scientific world.

Michael’s interest lay in biochemistry and genetics, where he mainly wants to focus on bioinformatics, and chromosomes especially telomere lengths.
